Duck & Waffle, City of London

I think Duck & Waffle has got to be one of my favourite London restaurants so far...

Located on the 40th floor of the Heron Tower, one of London's tallest buildings, the views across London are spectacular.

They are open 24 hours a day and with floor to ceiling windows you can enjoy the views at any time of day. The restaurant has a bustling, happy atmosphere and the staff were lovely and helpful too.

While they do not have a gluten free labelled menu, there are plenty of naturally gluten free options - you jut need to ask the staff. They were very knowledgeable and could tell me everything that was gluten free on the menu.

I had the butternut squash and the cornbread to start (above and below) and then a gluten free version of the famous duck & waffle which was incredible! It tasted amazing. The wine was delicious too and we had our own sommelier who was very helpful.

I would recommend anyone go there for the views alone but their service (especially for my gluten free needs), the ambiance and the food was wonderful too. My whole family went for my Dad's 70th birthday and we honestly had the best time.

I can't wait to go again when lockdown is over!
