Delicious & Gluten Free in Paris

The current (3rd!) national lockdown in the UK is really making me miss travel again...

I used to go away 3 to 4 times a year and I haven't been for ages! So I started looking through my travel photos again and came across the ones from my trip to Paris.

Paris was my third solo trip. I was starting to really get a taste for solo travel so I decided to hop on the Eurostar and head to Paris for the weekend.

My weekend started in London. I stayed the night at the Wardonia Hotel at Kings Cross so I could get up super early the next morning and walk only a few minutes to the Eurostar.

I love a relaxing night in a hotel alone. I ordered gluten free Pizza Express, had some wine and watched movies and chilled out ready for the busy weekend ahead.

Now, my trip to Paris wasn't really a foodie trip, it was more about seeing as much of Paris as I could in a very short space of time.

As soon as I got off the Eurostar, I jumped in a taxi and headed straight to the Eiffel Tower. I had the gluten free sandwich for lunch (that I had bought at the M&S in St Pancras Station) whilst sitting on the grass and looking up at the tower and people watching.

I then headed to the Trocadero (above) before checking into my hotel near the Champs-Elysees.

My room was lovely and had a little kitchenette and garden. I packed a few gluten free essentials like bread and breakfast bits so I could make meals in my room. I had plenty of delicious French cheeses and meats with fresh vegetables and salad.

Next I headed up the road to the Arc de Triomphe. Once you climb the stairs to the top, you have the best views of the city and you can see the Eiffel Tower (below).

I took some lovely romantic photos at the Louvre, the below photo is my favourite of the whole trip.

The next day I walked for miles and miles all over the city taking photos of all the beautiful architecture, the River Seine and Rue Cremieux, a really beautiful colourful street (see photos below).
